Freedom and Democracy: The Sole Guarantee for the Continuation of National Peace and Solidarity in Iran

Freedom, justice, and democracy are the only guarantees against the failure of the project of instability in Iran orchestrated by external enemies. The brutal war imposed on this country by foreign adversaries has, at least in the short term, come to an end without the enemies achieving any of their objectives. These threefold objectives included the destruction of Iran’s peaceful nuclear engineering capabilities, the dismantling of its ballistic missile power, and most importantly, “regime change” based on scenarios akin to Libya (complete bombing, widespread destruction of the country, and internal conflict leading to state collapse), Syria (widespread rebellion, inciting divisions among ethnic groups, and extensive devastation of the state and country), and “Iraq” (regime change through external military intervention), as well as the use of both official and unofficial spies, extremists, sanction profiteers, and warmongers both foreign and domestic. The next scenario is projected to be the “North Koreanization” of Iran, depicting it as a menacing nuclear power defying international laws, similar to its adversaries, and as a source of instability in the region.
Meanwhile, further exacerbating hostility—despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of Iranians have never harbored animosity towards the peoples of other countries—remains a significant concern. Historically, Iran has never initiated any war in recent centuries. The truth is that in this situation as well, the “nuclear bomb” was merely a pretext under which Iran sought to exploit public discontent over their hardships, following a decades-long plan akin to those enacted against Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Sudan, and Somalia. Many foolishly predicted that within a few days nothing would remain of this country; thus, they viewed surrender from day one as the best solution. However, the primary solution for our country’s escape from the clutches of enemies and current problems lies solely in strengthening peace and expanding open spaces as much as possible to resolve these issues by the Iranian people themselves.
Indeed, the achievement that this new imposed war has granted us is the realization that alongside Iranian youth who defended the country during these tough days—many of whom became martyrs—and all citizens who lost their lives and property or were forced to endure these horrific days and nights, everyone persevered and continued their lives. The true nature and character of many self-proclaimed advocates of democracy and freedom have also been revealed. As we have repeatedly stated, opponents who sought “change” in service of foreigners or vengeance, willing to initiate new authoritarian regimes while selling out their own country and compatriots, have become increasingly disgraced. There is no need to mention their names here or anywhere else since they hold no value and have politically committed suicide by their own actions.
Nevertheless, we must all be grateful for Iranian culture in all its diversity and variety that has kept all Iranians united for thousands of years. The true victors in this arena are solely the culture of Iran and its peoples and ethnic groups; I mean culture in its broadest sense—comprising all peace-loving, freedom-seeking individuals who abhor violence. We have also endeavored to remain steadfast alongside freedom and culture while cherishing this cultural heritage with all possible hope. Iranians from every corner of the country, from all cities and ethnics across this vast expanse have demonstrated that as long as they stand together, no force can destroy them.
There is no doubt that many people are caught day and night in significant challenges; however, just as has always been done, they will bring about necessary changes themselves through peaceful means devoid of anger, violence, and tension. What has saved us and continues to do so is our civilization, patience, and refusal to succumb to hatred, violence, and warmongering—not aggression or power-seeking that leads even the greatest powers to their own destruction.
Our greatest recommendation to decision-makers and the people of this land remains today as it was yesterday: to avoid violence, tension, vengeance, and bullying. We have witnessed how even the most tyrannical governments in the world ultimately succumb to defeat in this arena, regardless of their military might. Now is the time to reflect once again on the notion that our only path to improving our situation is through increasing freedom and striving for mutual acceptance. Forceful pressure and a closed political atmosphere can inflict the worst blows on Iran’s national unity and pose the gravest dangers for us.
We hope that this expanse and all realms of this world become more prosperous and freer each day, governed by greater rationality.
